Dinner with friends

Last night Rob and I had friends over for dinner and of course we had a ball. The men ate and watched football and the the women sat at the table and laughed and laughed.  There was lots of good food and great fellowship.  Speaking of good food, here is the recipe for the corn salad I fixed last night.

1 can of yellow whole kernel corn (drained)
1 can of shoepeg corn (dranined)
2 cucumbers chopped
Cherry tomatoes chopped (as much as you desire)
8 oz. mayonaise

Mix together and refrigerate, serve with Scoops.

BAMA football

Hmmmmmm....that's about all I can say about the ugly display against the Utah Utes.  I am just glad that I stayed home and saved the $1,500 on tickets.  As they showed the Alabama fans on tv all I could think about was how bad it would stink to be there and having to witness something we hadn't seen all year long.  BAMA just took a good ole Butt kicking.  Anyway, the good news is that our kids made it home last night around nine from their Gatlinburg trip.  They had a great time but they were ready to see us (isn't that cool) they were actually ready to see us. Rob and I are blessed to have 5 children between us and they are all good kids but they are all different .  We are trying to get Rob moved into his condo here in Decatur this week, we'll see.

2009 Resolutions

1.  To be a better mother, girlfriend, daughter, sister, friend and employee.
2.  To incorporate a healthy lifestyle including eating better and get back in the gym and hopefully loose a little weight.
3.  To spend more time with family and friends..

Looking forward to 2009!

I just celebrated one of the best holidays anyone could ever imagine.  I am a 36 year old mother of three children.  I have been divorced for 4 1/2 years.  I have dated a couple of men over the years but it wasn't until September 2008 that I truly felt like I have met my soulmate.  After our first lunch date  I was a little unsure about any chemistry.  He actually had to break our second date because his little girl needed him and that was totally okay.  We ended up spending sometime together the next week and then he was gone out of town for a week and I missed him so much.  That's when I knew there was something about him that was really special.  His name is Rob and he is the man of my dreams. He introduced me and my kids to his kids on December 13th and it was like they had been together forever.  All 7 of us spent the holidays together and it was wonderful.  Our three oldest children traveled with a church group to Gatlinburg for the New Year's holiday and from all accounts it sounds like they have had a blast! Waking up everyday is exciting and I can't wait to see what 2009 has in store for the K-ROB family.
